Plus is worth it once you’re doing £1m+ in revenue or need features like Shopify Functions, custom checkout, B2B, or wholesale channels. Below that, standard Shopify is fine. We’ll tell you honestly which tier fits your business.
Shopify charges 0.5-2% per transaction on top of your payment processor (Stripe, Shopify Payments). Using Shopify Payments removes the Shopify fee. For most stores, the time saved on platform management offsets the fees.
Yes. Products, customers, order history. Theme rebuild as part of the migration. Typical timeline is 6-10 weeks. We always advise running both stores in parallel for a few weeks before switching DNS.
Both, depending on the project. Larger budgets get fully custom Liquid themes. Smaller projects start with a quality premium theme (Dawn, Impulse, Prestige) and customise heavily. We don’t use the free default themes for paid client work.
Almost always. We audit your app stack before quoting. We’ll usually recommend trimming apps you’re paying for but not using, but anything earning its keep stays.
Yes, when it makes sense. Headless adds complexity and cost; it’s only worth it for stores where the front-end performance gains justify the engineering investment. We’ll tell you honestly whether it’s right for your project.
