Cheshire Cat Marketing is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This is the plain-English version of how we handle your data.
This policy, together with our terms and conditions, sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed by us. Please read the following carefully to understand our views and practices regarding your personal data and how we will treat it. For the purpose of the General Data Protection Regulation EU 2018 (the GDPR Act), the data controller is Cheshire Cat Marketing.
Information we may collect from you
We may collect and process the following data about you:
- Information that you provide by filling in forms on our site (www.cheshirecatmarketing.co.uk). This includes information provided when registering, subscribing, posting material or requesting further services.
- If you contact us, we may keep a record of that correspondence.
- Surveys we ask you to complete for research purposes (you don't have to respond).
- All our calls are recorded for training and quality. They're stored securely on the cloud and can be deleted on request, or within 60 days.
- Details of your visits to our site including traffic data, location data, weblogs and other communication data, and the resources you access.
IP addresses
We may collect information about your computer, including where available your IP address, operating system and browser type, for system administration. This is statistical data about our users' browsing actions and patterns, and does not identify any individual.
Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We group ours into three, and you control everything except the necessary ones through the cookie banner on your first visit, or the link in the footer at any time:
- Strictly necessary. Needed for the site to work: page navigation, keeping forms secure, and remembering your cookie choice. These can't be switched off.
- Analytics. With your consent, these help us see which pages are useful and how people find us (for example Google Analytics), so we can improve the site. Only set if you allow them.
- Marketing. With your consent, these help us measure and improve our advertising and show more relevant ads. Only set if you allow them.
We also use Google reCAPTCHA on our forms to protect against spam and abuse. reCAPTCHA sets a cookie and shares limited information with Google for that security purpose, subject to Google's privacy policy and terms.
You can change or withdraw your consent whenever you like using the Cookie settings link, or by clearing cookies in your browser.
Uses made of the information
We use information held about you in the following ways:
- To make sure content from our site is presented in the most effective manner for you and your computer.
- To provide you with information, products or services that you request from us where you've consented to be contacted for those purposes.
- To carry out our obligations arising from any contracts entered into between you and us.
- To allow you to participate in interactive features of our service when you choose to do so.
- To notify you about changes to our service.
- To make sure that, should you unsubscribe, we have enough data to de-dupe against so you don't receive unwanted communication.
We may also use your data to provide you with information about goods and services which may be of interest to you. If you're an existing customer, we'll only contact you by electronic means (email) with information about goods and services similar to those which were the subject of a previous sale to you. Disclosure of your information
We will not disclose your information to any third parties unless you have consented for us to do so.
Your rights
You have the right to ask us not to process your personal data for marketing purposes. We'll usually inform you (before collecting your data) if we intend to use it for those purposes or if we intend to disclose your information to any third party for those purposes. You can exercise your right to prevent such processing by ticking certain boxes on the forms we use to collect your data, or by emailing hello@cheshirecatmarketing.co.uk.
Access to information
The Act gives you the right to access information held about you. Your right of access can be exercised in accordance with the Act.
